This is an archive of old Mutant Pop Radio shows from BSU Radio, circa around 1990. They were provided to me by a fan of the show who came across dozens of tapes in his storage locker. As he was recording these "off the air" some 30 years ago, the sound quality varies. In addition, there are areas where he stopped the tape for whatever reason, and started up again. In other words, pretty much like anything that was taped off of the radio back in the day.
In addition, my digitizing setup caused digital glitches in places where the original cassette was damaged because of age or a voracious tape eating machine, so expect to hear some of that.
His method of labeling the tapes was to call them "Mix" and a number. My digitizing software added the _0 and _1 per side. Nothing is dated. There are clues in the audio, such as announcements of upcoming shows, to the actual date of the recording, but in the interest of getting these online I've not taken the time to figure things out.
I've started adding dates based on clues in the announcing. Interestingly, the "mixes" are not chronological and in fact a tape may contain more than a single date.
